The Story
Texas's First
Distillery
In 2006, Dan Garrison planted a flag in the Texas Hill Country and began distilling bourbon on a wildflower-speckled hill in Hye, Texas — becoming the first legal whiskey distillery in the state. Every bottle is milled, cooked, distilled, barreled, and aged on-site, grain to glass.
Where Kentucky ages slowly in cool limestone caves, Garrison Brothers lets the relentless Texas heat do the work — pushing bourbon deep into charred American white oak barrels and pulling out flavors that would take twice as long anywhere else. The result is a bourbon that tastes like nowhere else on earth.
"We didn't want to make just any bourbon. We wanted to make the best bourbon ever made."
— Garrison Brothers Distillery
